I have made cards for the cardmaker of the year competition. I know what a postcard is , my query is; does the postcards have to be a representation of the card it accompanies or may it show other techniques. Entering a competition of this ilk is a first for me so I am unsure of the protocol.
Thank you
Karen Whyte
Hi Karen,
To answer your question, the postcards should just be text, informing us of your name, contact details, materials used and instructions on how to make the card. We keep the postcards alongside the relevant cards so that we know who created which one and how – all vital information when it comes time to showcase the winners!
Many thanks
Gavin
What date is right the 9th of December or as in the magazine the 11th November, Im alittle confused
Teresa
Hi Teresa,
The deadline was originally the 11th November but we have extended it to the 9th December to give readers more time to get their entries in. Issue 37 of the magazine has the new deadline printed in it.
Many thanks
Gavin

Hi Helen,
The original deadline was the 11th November but we have extended it to the 9th December to give everyone plenty of time to get their cards in.
Many thanks
Gavin
Hi Gavin,
I was really dissapointed with the change of date for the deadline. I had already sent my entries for the 11th Nov. deadline by registered post. Then I found out it had been changed, and I had made other cards which I would’ve loved to enter, but only 1 entry per person prevented that. I have been making cards for 15 years and make a minimum of 20 a week. Some I love and don’t want to part with.
Thank You
Sue Watson
